Volcano M139 Mine Dispenser

The Volcano M139 Mine Dispenser system is a terrain shaping or area denial system designed to provide ideal flank protection to advancing forces and operating in concert with air and ground units for flank guard or screen missions.

M139 Volcano has the capabilities to dispense 960 mines in less than 43 seconds to create a terrain shaping obstacle of 120 meters by 1100 meters.

The M139 Volcano system is the only U.S. Landmine Policy compliant anti-vehicular mine capability in the inventory. The system can be mounted on a heavy tactical vehicles and UH-60 Blackhawk aircraft.
